ABOUT ME
Qingling Zhang is a production designer with a strong sense of colour, space, and shape. She is a MA Production Design graduate from the National Film and Television School where she designed multiple films with complicated and ambitious set builds, in both live-action and animation productions. Her films went on to do well on the festival circuit, with Solar Plexus being selected for the Cannes Cinefoundation, as well as gaining Qingling a nomination for Best Production Design at the Watersprite Film Festival. "The Pregnant Ground", a short film directed by Haolu Wang was selected for Palm Springs International Film Festival, amongst other internationally recognized film festivals.
Qingling is also working as a concept artist in the UK film industry for films such as "007 - NoTime to Die", "Death on the Nile", Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and Game of Thrones Prequel "House of the Dragon". In this role, she gets the opportunity to work with and learn from some of her favorite production designers, including Adam Stockhausen (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Dennis Gassner (Blade Runner 2049), Rick Heinrichs (Sleepy Hollow), Mark Tildesley ( No Time to Die) and Jim Clay (House of the Dragon).
